The hive mind of a place-conflicted New Yorker

This is utterly fascinating. A father and son team have figured out what Shakespeare sounds like in the pronunciation of the times he was writing in. According to them, at least 2/3s of Shakespeare’s sonnets have rhymes in them that are completely lost because of modern pronunciation. It’s just lovely. I would love to see more productions of Shakespeare performed this way.
