The hive mind of a place-conflicted New Yorker

This project is so awesome, it literally bring tears of joy to my eyes. There’s something so humanizing about watching people dance like fools.

Where the Hell is Matt? 2012

Wanting to see what else was going on in the world, Matt traveled to Asia in 2003. He created Where the Hell is Matt? to keep his family and friends updated about where he is. While in Hanoi, he started to dance and his friend recorded it. A few years later, someone found the video and it spread throughout the Internet.

Matt has become somewhat of an Internet celebrity and has recorded multiple traveling dancing videos since the original. Shown here is his first video in four years.

Video: Matt Harding & Melissa Nixon

Ed note: Want to travel and dance like Matt? Here are our 43 places to see before you die.
